Dr Melvin Lau completed his Gastroenterology fellowship in 2010 and joined Scott & White in Round Rock as a senior staff member. He was named Director of Endoscopy in 2012, then the Section Chief of Gastroenterology in 2016. In 2019, Dr Lau served as the Division Director of Medicine at Baylor Scott & White Health -Round Rock from 2019 -2023.  He currently holds the title of Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) for the Greater Austin Region. Dr Lau earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He then completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine at the Texas Medical Center in Houston.
