Meghan McCarthy, PsyD, is a child and adolescent psychologist with Providence Medical Group-Scholls Pediatrics. “Early intervention is a powerful tool to help kids grow up to be the best versions of themselves,” she says. Dr. McCarthy gives kids space to share their challenges without judgment, and works with them on more effective strategies. “It’s wonderful to see faces brighten as kids learn new skills to help them through challenging moments,” she says. Recognizing how overwhelming it can be to talk to a stranger about your struggles, Dr. McCarthy is happy to meet and introduce herself before patients decide to work with her. She holds degrees from the University of Colorado and from Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology.
