Dr Peter Nguyen's parents, who emigrated from Vietnam after the war there, emphasized education as the key to future success. Guided toward pre-med during college, Dr Nguyen loved learning about all aspects of medicine. Rather than choose one specialty, he decided to focus on the broad spectrum and community orientation of family medicine. As a board-certified physician, Dr Nguyen sees ages 16 and older for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. He is especially interested in mental health and preventive medicine.
