I have always loved working with children. I appreciate their honesty and enjoy their energy. I strive to build trusting relationships with my patients and their families so that we can work together to promote a child’s health. I want them to feel respected and heard so that we can work together for the child’s best health and wellness. I take a nurturing approach to help my patients feel at ease. Whether they prefer the exam table, the floor, or their parent’s lap, I’ll follow their lead. I want them to feel comfortable in a doctor’s office and be able to share their needs and concerns. Parents and older children often tell me they feel understood and that I answer their questions well. I take the time to get to know them and remember details about their lives, goals, and accomplishments. If there is tension between parents and kids, I help both sides communicate positively. The most rewarding part of my work is getting to know my patients. I value my lasting relationships with my patients and learn a lot from them. I feel honored that my patients trust me to guide them in their challenges and help them make healthy choices.
