Monica H. Vetter, M.D., is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist with Norton Cancer Institute. Dr. Vetter earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. Dr. Vetter is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Medical Association, and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Vetter has experience with treatment of all gynecologic malignancies, including uterine, ovarian, cervical and vulvovaginal cancers. She also has extensive expertise in the integration of robotic surgery into the management of gynecologic oncology. She has a strong interest in ensuring that the women of Kentucky and Southern Indiana have access to national and international clinical trials to improve outcomes for patients.
Dr. Vetter’s goals are to partner with patients and their families to provide compassionate and comprehensive care that not only optimizes cancer outcomes, but also supports the whole person. Dr. Vetter firmly believes that the patient-provider relationship is best when it is based on transparency and trust, and she strives to be approachable, straightforward and thoughtful.
