Christina Kytasty, D.O., is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist renowned for her expertise in comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and dry eye treatment. Graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Kytasty continued to excel in her field, serving as President of the Ophthalmology Club and earning numerous accolades, including scholarships from the American Academy of Ophthalmology Advocacy Ambassador Program.
With a distinguished career spanning over a decade, Dr. Kytasty brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Eye Care of San Diego. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at Case Western University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was elected Surgical Chief Resident during her third year. Her dedication to advancing patient care led her to complete rigorous postgraduate training, including a surgical chief residency at University Hospitals Eye Institute, Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Kytasty is fluent in Ukrainian and holds memberships in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Women in Ophthalmology, and the Ukrainian Medical Association of North America. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated leadership and compassion, serving in roles such as Physician Health and Wellness Committee leader and Coding Champion Committee member.
