Amanda Newman, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, has been a nurse for over 20 years with experience in critical care, rehab, leadership and palliative care. While she have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge through her years of training, nothing compares to what she has learned as a mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter over the years. She has been witness to a variety of illnesses from the bedside, including dementia, renal failure, diabetes, amputation, sepsis, stroke, joint replacements, liver failure, cancer and heart failure, helping her connect with patients and their families due to similar experiences.
