My name is Paula Ackerman, DO, and I am an associate professor in the University of Florida Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I attended the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Afterward, I completed my residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Albany Medical Center in New York. I have worked in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in academic practice at the University of Kentucky prior to joining the UF Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in September 2022. I care for adults with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders who have transitioned out of pediatric-based care.
