Dr Kevin Shen was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Rice University and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Kinesiology before going on to earn his medical degree across the street at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr Shen then completed an internship at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis before returning to Houston for his ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued additional training and completed a glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, the top-ranked eye hospital in the United States.
Dr Shen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
