Dr Townsend received her B.S. in biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1999 and went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Illinois in 2003. Dr Townsend finished her residency at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital (Chicago, IL) in 2007. She is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is the PM&R Medical Director for Sparrow Specialty Hospital and Aria Nursing/Rehab. Dr Townsend also serves as an Assistant Professor through the Department of PM&R at Michigan State University.
