Dr Blanquicett received his MD degree from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee, and his PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He also completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UAB. Dr Blanquicett then completed a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a faculty member before pursuing a Hematology/ Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center. Post fellowship at USF/Moffitt, Dr Blanquicett served as a Medical Officer for the Gastrointestinal Oncology Section at the US FDA until 2023, when he returned to Florida for a medical oncology practice opportunity in St. Petersburg.
