Dr Jeffrey Shupp is director of the Burn Center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and leads burn research at MedStar Health Research Institute. He specializes in treating burns, skin trauma from chemicals or electricity, complex wounds, and rare skin conditions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Dr Shupp also teaches surgery and biology at Georgetown University and serves as a research leader for firefighter-related burn studies. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed surgical training at MedStar. Dr Shupp is dedicated to advancing care for patients with serious skin injuries.
