Dr Martin Taormina is a board-certified Vascular Surgeon who has been in practice since 1996. He practiced at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC, for 14 years before he decided to teach the next generation of surgeons at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Dr Taormina has been teaching residents and fellows the new and exciting carotid stenosis therapy called Transcarotid Stenting (TCAR). He found teaching and caring for complex vascular patients inspiring and rewarding. However, he decided to return to his roots and bring his medical experience back to the patients of York County, where he and his wife raised their family, and have owned a farm in Sharon, SC, since 2000.
