Dr Tricia Ting is a professor of neurology and regional epilepsy director at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She helps improve epilepsy and EEG care across the MedStar Health system in Washington, D.C., and nearby areas. Dr Ting treats people with new seizures and women with epilepsy. She also studies new seizure medicines and rescue treatments. Her research, funded by the FDA, looks at whether generic seizure drugs work the same as brand-name ones. She works closely with patients to create personalized treatment plans, reduce side effects, and improve seizure control. The hospital's Epilepsy Monitoring Unit helps find the best treatments, including surgery, for hard-to-treat seizures.
