She earned her medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. She completed her internship in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla., followed by a residency in family medicine at the UCI School of Medicine, where she was part of the integrative medicine track through the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson.
