Dr. Claudia Delgado-Corcoran received her medical degree from Escuela Colombiana de Medicina in Bogota, Colombia. She completed her Pediatric residency and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Wolfson Children’s Hospital / Shands Medical Center at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. After completing her fellowship, she worked for seven years as a Pediatric Intensivist at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She then received additional training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock through the University of Arkansas. Dr. Delgado-Corcoran is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and works in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Primary Children´s Medical Center. She is also the Associate Medical Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Her specific clinical interests include management of congenital heart diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and non-invasive monitoring in the CICU. She is actively involved in quality Improvement processes in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Delgado-Corcoran provides care to children admitted to the CICU with newly diagnosed congenital heart disease or non-surgical heart disease that requires critical care. She also takes care of children who have undergone palliative or corrective heart surgery.
