Monica Johnson, WHNP, is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner who sees patients 13 years and older. She provides annual well-woman exams, birth control counseling and family planning, breast cancer screening, menopause education and prenatal and postnatal care for expectant mothers. She treats various conditions, including urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections and painful menstrual cycles.
Monica's care philosophy is centered around treating every patient like family. She listens to patients' and families' perspectives to help them overcome obstacles and live healthy lives. Monica also volunteers at health fairs and organizations focusing on various causes such as childhood hunger, Alzheimer's education, breast care and mental health for African American women.
Monica has over 25 years of experience as a women's health nurse practitioner. She’s also a community health nurse educator and speaker who has worked with various local and national organizations. She also served as a nursing professor at Webster University in St. Louis for 15 years.
Monica received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Webster University in St. Louis. She completed the Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
