Dr. Taylor J. Brueseke is a board-certified, fellowship-trained UCI Health urogynecologist who specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
His clinical interests include the management of urinary and anal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and minimally invasive surgical approaches to pelvic reconstructive surgery, including uterine preservation. His expertise includes the treatment of recurrent urinary tract infections, vaginal mesh complications and the surgical repair of vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistula.
Brueseke earned his medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pa. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the UCI School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
His research is focused on reducing opioid using in surgery, urinary incontinence in athletes, minimizing side effects from the treatment of urinary incontinence and identifying new treatments for incontinence and pelvic prolapse. He is the author or co-author of more than two dozen peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals.
Brueseke, who also speaks fluent Spanish, is dedicated to improving the lives of women with pelvic floor disorders, providing outstanding personalized care, advancing research in the field of women's health and educating future generations of physicians.
