Dr. David Szentes received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1992. He then completed an internship in internal medicine at West Suburban Hospital, Oak Park, Illinois, followed by residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He is a fellow of and board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Szentes was formerly the chief of obstetrics at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana, where he serves on the surgery care review committee. He is also an active staff member at Community Hospital South. He served as president of the Johnson County Medical Society for five years (2001-2006) as well as on the performance improvement committee at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
