Rebecca S. Overbury is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah where she has been a faculty member since 2018. She has dual appointments through the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology; and the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. Rebecca completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Utah in 2018. Her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics was completed at the University of Utah from 2012-2016. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee from 2008-2012. Prior to her medical career, she completed her Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in Anthropology and French Language at the University of Tennessee and her Master of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Biologic and Forensic Anthropology from Mercyhurst University. She is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Internal Medicine Rheumatology Board. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American College of Rheumatology.Rebecca has research interests in clinical outcomes of childhood and adolescent onset Rheumatic diseases. She runs the Adult Center for Childhood Onset Rheumatic Diseases at the University of Utah.
