Sanjeev Raman, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary Division, University of Utah School of Medicine. He has been a member of the Pulmonary division faculty since 2009. He was recruited to the University of Utah to expand the Lung Transplant Program.Dr. Raman completed his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, he completed his Internal Medicine residency from Michigan State University/ Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and in the subspecialties of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.Dr. Raman was born and raised in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India, where he attended medical school at Grant Medical College &; Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals. He subsequently received his medical degree from the University of Mumbai in Mumbai, India. Dr. Raman specializes in the evaluation and care of patients with advanced lung diseases and focuses most of his clinical and research effort on lung transplant recipients. He is an attending physician at the University of Utah Hospital and provides care to patients on the Pulmonary Medicine inpatient service as well as the Medical Intensive Care Unit.In addition to his clinical activities, he is actively involved in the teaching and training of University of Utah Fellows, Residents and medical students.
