My results were so insightful. Dr. Long was patient and listened to my questions, and she offered advice that I know I will be using for so many years to come in order to adequately manage my depression and mitigate the negative impacts it has on my life! I genuinely cannot say thank you enough to her for the information she gave me. I have spent so long trying to figure out what was wrong with me, even thinking I am just lazy and incapable of being as productive as everyone around me, Dr. Long made sure I knew that I was only working at half of my capacity, and that I do not even know what my full capacity is yet! It was so incredibly encouraging and I hope everyone has an even better experience than I did!

I had neuropsychological testing done. Overall, the 3-step process was straightforward and each of the appointments felt productive. The process was outlined clearly in the documentation I received at the beginning. I was happy with how quickly I was able to schedule the initial intake appointment and the in-person testing day. My overall process from the first call to schedule an appointment to when I had my feedback session was about 4 months, and I was told at the beginning that it could take up to 6 months. Doing this testing is a mindset shift from experiences in therapy, so it can feel impersonal at times, but I think that is just the nature of this type of testing. Overall, I was happy with the whole process, and am awaiting my report and look forward to reading it. If I had to give some constructive criticism of the process I would suggest: - To have a way to easily download all of the intake questions in a word or excel file so you could fill it out offline then come back to the portal and copy in your answers. Sometimes this type of portal can be hard to fill in using an unfamiliar platform, even as a relatively tech savvy person. - A more interactive scheduling system - being able to indicate times that will not work or being able to choose from days of the week or times of day before having an appointment scheduled would be helpful. -I wish it was clearer that the intake appointment would be about 30min long and that the intake forms and what you write in those answers would be really crucial to the process - I think if I was aware of this, I might have spent more time on them. This may have been very clearly written in the forms sent from the beginning, but having that info bold and jumping out at you might help someone like me being tested for the very attention issues that make you overlook things like that. -Add some trusted informational resources to your website or documents portal that explains the testing process (beyond just the logistics of it), like some info explaining what different tests might be chosen from or the different components of testing. Maybe this would need to be added after the testing takes place, but having some additional information might make it feel less intimidating.
