Dr. Jafar Kafaie treats adults and children with neurological, neuromuscular and muscle diseases (muscular dystrophy, inflammatory myositis). He cares for patients with neuromuscular junction disorder, peripheral neuropathy, and motor neuron diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease) and spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). He uses electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) testing to help evaluate and treat problems related to nerves or muscles.
