J. Fredrik Grimmer, MD is a Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology. His clinical interest are in pediatric head and neck surgery including fetal airway surgery, endocrine surgery, maxillofacial boney tumors, surgical access to the skull base and surgery of vascular anomalies. His research interests include identifying the genetic etiology of vascular anomalies, investigating the role of HPV in pediatric thyroid cancer, developing minimally invasive approaches to the skull base and understanding the predictive value of cytogenic testing in pediatric thyroid cancer. He founded the Vascular Anomalies Center and co-founded and is the Surgical Director of the Pediatric Thyroid Center at Primary Children's Hospital.
