As one of only a few board-certified psychiatrists in the Houston area specializing in mental diseases of the aged, Dr. Thompson combines the sciences of general medicine, psychiatry and neurology to treat patients with dementia, traumatic brain injury, depression, anxiety, and neurological and psychotic disorders. He treats patients age 18 and older, both inpatient and outpatient. His special interest is in helping patients overcome geriatric addictions such as alcoholism and prescription drugs.
