Dr. Mears attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and then her Rheumatology fellowship at Michigan State University/McLaren - Greater Lansing Hospital, in Lansing, Michigan. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She has particular interests in ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
