When he was still in medical school, Marshfield native Bart Isaacson took advantage of his summer breaks to shadow Marshfield Clinic Health System internists. “I really respected what they did,” Dr Isaacson said. “So, as I continued my education, I decided that was the career I wanted – to be a specialist in providing primary care for adults.”
As an internist, Dr Isaacson treats patients as illnesses and injuries occur, but he prefers managing issues before they become severe. “Prevention and early detection and treatment are important,” he said. “Helping a patient identify and modify risk factors reduces problems down the road.
