Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: All throughout my childhood, I was exposed to the art of medicine in numerous ways. As I grew, my interest just continued to grow as well. I always knew I would pursue a career in healthcare but I was not sure where specifically. I decided on nursing, and early on in my career I knew that becoming a nurse practitioner will be my ultimate goal. This was based on personal encounters, my desire to educate, advocate, and provide holistic care. What I want my patients to know about me: I truly enjoying helping people and I believe that all those that work in health care should have this trait. Seeing the smiles of my patients and their families at the end of a visit makes a big difference.
