Guerda Mulumba, FNP, APRN is a family nurse practitioner at the UVM Medical Center.
Guerda has managed a variety of conditions, including sexual health and treatment, contraceptive and miscarriage management, women’s health issues, hormone replacement treatment, mental health, and chronic disease management. She also performs intrauterine device (IUD) implantation and subcutaneous insertion and removal of Nexplanon (implantable birth control).
From a young age, Guerda has always enjoy helping those in need. The health care field has given her the opportunity to help patients make their health goals a reality. She takes pride in providing patients with care that promotes comfort and improves their symptoms.
Guerda finds that providing compassionate, patient-specific and evidence-based care to her patients is the most satisfying part of her career. Her care philosophy includes an environment that fosters a trusting patient-provider relationship and an overall positive health experience, in which each individual’s health needs are met in a safe and efficient manner.
When she is not working, Guerda enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking, traveling and discovering new cultures.
