Dr. Shira Ritholtz completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at New York University and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University, where she received research and clinical training in evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical and research training had a particular emphasis on childhood post-traumatic stress and anxiety disorders. Dr. Ritholtz completed her clinical internship training at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS). She has trained in multiple settings including inpatient and outpatient facilities. She has advanced training and experience in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure/Response Prevention, SPACE, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Parent Management Training. Dr. Ritholtz completed a post-doctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, Dr. Ritholtz is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Psychologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Behavioral Health Center. She serves as a clinician and supervisor of inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy.
