Linda Nielsen, DNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner in the Center for Genetic Health. She completed her undergraduate degree in family practice at Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, IN and Indiana Wesleyan University, in Marion, IN. She also completed a post-master’s degree in geriatrics. She completed her doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN where her research was focused on the implementation of a breast cancer survivorship program in a community oncology clinic. Linda is also is an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner (AOCNP).
She has been a preceptor for nurse practitioner students, an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University teaching pathophysiology, and lecturer on topics in geriatrics and hematology oncology. In the past several years, she has worked in hematology oncology focused on acute hospital follow-up care and as a sub-investigator in clinical breast cancer research trials.
For fun, she enjoys reading, gardening and traveling with her family.
