In the past several years, she has worked in hematology oncology focused on acute hospital follow-up care and as a sub-investigator in clinical breast cancer research trials.

Linda Nielsen, DNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner in the Center for Genetic Health. She completed her undergraduate degree in family practice at Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, IN and Indiana Wesleyan University, in Marion, IN. She also completed a post-master’s degree in geriatrics. She completed her doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN where her research was focused on the implementation of a breast cancer survivorship program in a community oncology clinic. Linda is also is an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner (AOCNP).She has been a preceptor for nurse practitioner students, an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University teaching pathophysiology, and lecturer on topics in geriatrics and hematology oncology.
