Dr. Gruesser is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her interests include newborn care, asthma, diabetes and other chronic medical conditions.
She is a native Hoosier and grew up in Westfield, Indiana. She earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from Indiana University and graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Gruesser attended Indiana University School of Medicine and earned her doctorate of medicine in 2004. She completed her pediatric residency training at Riley Hospital for Children and served as Pediatric Chief Resident in 2007-2008. Following residency, Dr. Gruesser became a pediatric hospitalist, caring for both normal newborns and those requiring level II NICU care along with inpatient pediatric patients. She also served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics for the Indiana University School of Medicine, educating both pediatric and family practice residents on newborn care and inpatient pediatric care.
Dr. Gruesser is married to her husband, James, and they have two children, Aiden and Addison. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and coaching soccer. Dr. Gruesser is also an avid sports fan and loves IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts.
