Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I initially went into college pursuing a health science degree for practical reasons, to have a stable and always in demand career. It turns out I quickly came to love the art and science of medicine and consider it a great privilege to be able to help people as my job. What I want my patients to know about me: I have worked several specialties as a physician assistant over the past 12 years. I have been in pediatrics for the past five years. Family and pediatric medicine have been my most satisfying areas to practice in because it allows me to create long-term relationships with my patients.
