Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: The science is fascinating. I love the challenge that hospital medicine presents. No two days are the same, which is great! When I was in high school, I visited hospitalized family members and admired the work of the nurses. Those experiences were my inspiration to attend nursing school. What I want my patients to know about me: I always strive to do my best. If I don't know the answer, I will find someone who does. My favorite Florence Nightingale quote is this: I attribute my success to this-I never gave or took any excuse.
