Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I started college as a chemistry major. Very quickly I realized that I wanted to be involved with people not behind a desk or in a lab. Nursing seemed like a way to accomplish that. I have loved every minute since making that change both during my education and the years since then. What I want my patients to know about me: My favorite part of my job is being with my patients. I am happiest in my exam room with the day-to-day task of caring for others. Heart failure is a complex disease that often progresses. I hope to offer my patients and families education, stability, support and quality of life during their heart failure journey.
