Growing up, Dr Edward Taylor never intended to be a physician. As a student at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, he initially studied engineering. That all changed, however, after working with an orthopedic surgeon as part of his research studies. Fascinated by the work the surgeon did and the interactions he had, Dr Taylor realized he wanted more than just conducting research?e wanted a career focused on directly interacting with people and helping them. With a new goal in mind, Dr Taylor went on to attend medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Today, he is an internal medicine doctor at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
