Nicholas Hopson
Nicholas Hopson, D.O., is a Urologic Surgeon at Monument Health and serves as the Medical Director of Urology. Prior to Monument Health, Dr. Hopson served as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corp as Chief of Urology at Winn Army Community Hospital of Ft Stewart, GA, and as staff urologist at Eisenhower Army Medical Center of Ft. Gordon, GA. He earned his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his general surgery internship at San Antonio Military Medical Center and residency in Urology at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio in Texas.
Dr. Hopson and his wife, Rocio, have 4 children and a labradoodle puppy. They enjoy mountain biking, hiking, camping, kayaking, swimming and exploring new places. Dr. Hopson is originally from the Pacific Northwest and his wife from Guatemala, and they are excited to be living in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. In addition to English, Dr. Hopson speaks Spanish and Danish.
