My philosophy is to treat the patient, not just the disease. For instance, many five-year-olds are involved in imaginary play. I took it a step further by creating an office-based clinic where medical services were provided to Malibu Barbie and Mr. Snuggles. Over the years, the fascination grew, and my exposure to medicine instilled the desire to pursue a career in primary care.
Although I now see diverse health-related needs, my interests are in geriatric conditions and women’s health. I try to provide specialized care to align with the physiologic aging process and provide emotional support to patients and caregivers. I am trained to assess fall risks, perform standard cognitive evaluations, and address polypharmacy.
