Marisa Sturza is an obstetrics and gynecology physician She obtained her BA in psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and her MA in ecological-community psychology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Dr. Sturza earned her MD from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI.
Dr. Sturza’s medical interests include the full-scope of obstetrics and gynecology. She provides both outpatient and inpatient care including labor and delivery. Dr. Sturza prioritizes patient-centered care and patient education in her practice and works collaboratively with patients and their families to develop obstetrics and gynecologic care plans that they feel comfortable with. She has particular obstetrics interests in peripartum mood disorders, postpartum care, and high-risk pregnancies. She specializes in medical and surgical management of abnormal uterine bleeding, to include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and treatment of chronic pelvic pain.
Dr. Sturza is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In her free time, Dr. Sturza enjoys Peloton cycling, yoga, meditation, reading, walking, travel, and spending time with her family.
