Usha Mathur – Wagh, M.D is an Assistant Professor of Medicine. She received her medical degree from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, India. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York. Following that, she obtained a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester New York. After finishing her fellowship, she accepted a faculty position at Beth Israel Medical Center (BIMC) in New York City, as an Attending Physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases.She and her colleagues at BIMC were among the first to describe the clinical cases of HIV/AIDS in the early 80’s. Dr. Mathur-Wagh continues to be involved in the clinical care and management of patients with HIV/AIDS. Recently, in 2010, she obtained an Executive Masters in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health, at Columbia University. She joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2011 where she serves as an HIV/AIDS primary care provider at the Center for Special Studies at the Chelsea location.
