Sarah K. Rivelli, MD
Dr Rivelli, a board-certified internist and psychiatrist, trained in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at Duke University. She led the combined Internal Medicine Psychiatry Residency Training Program and expanded hospital psychiatry services at Duke, including Consultation-Liaison, Medicine-Psychiatry, Inpatient Psychiatry, Transplant Psychiatry, and Emergency Psychiatry. As a clinical educator, she has published research and worked on clinical improvement initiatives in delirium, alcohol withdrawal, and education. Dr Rivelli served as the past president of the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry. She joined Carilion in 2019 and is now an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
