Puyao Li, MD is a radiation oncologist at the University of Vermont Medical Center, and assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
Dr. Li's clinical focus is on the treatment of breast, gynecologic and metastatic cancers. She emphasizes a compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based approach in treating patients with cancer.
Dr. Li received her BS from Yale University and her MD from the Harvard University. She completed residency training in the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program, a joint program between Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Her research interests include understanding causes for and reducing side effects of cancer treatments, and improving and individualizing radiation therapy for patients. She provides a variety of specialized procedures, including 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Extracranial Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) or Stereotactic Ablative Radiation Therapy (SABR), and Intracranial Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
