She also serves as associate chair for quality in the Department of Surgery. Dr White received her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her medical residency in surgery at University of South Alabama Hospitals in Mobile, Alabama, and a fellowship in surgical critical care at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
