Dr. Andrew Erb is an acute care surgeon at the University of Vermont Medical Center and assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. He specializes in trauma, intensive care, and emergency general surgery and treats patients suffering from trauma, shock and sepsis.
Because Dr. Erb meets people at some of the hardest points in their lives, he hopes to help them navigate the complexities of hospitalization. He aims to deliver the highest quality care to his patients in a multidisciplinary fashion recognizing that, in addition to his team members, the patient’s family contribute to their overall wellbeing.
Beyond this, his clinical interests include disaster management, Trauma, Intensive Care, and Emergency General Surgery. His research is focused in trauma, Acute Care Surgery outcomes, and EMS trauma network quality.
