I chose to become a doctor because it combines both my passion for medicine with the desire to understand and help my fellow human beings. I am fascinated by how our mental, physical and emotional health intersect to impact our lives. My approach to patient care is rooted in the idea of teamwork. I see myself as a partner with each patient in finding the best ways to positively impact their health and, thus, their life. I also try to strike a balance between being comprehensive and thorough with that of a more balanced and practical approach to preventive health. As a physician of both internal medicine and pediatrics, I specialize and am interested in a wide range of topics. From pediatric well-child development, to managing chronic diseases, to focusing on healthy aging, I really enjoy caring for patients at major transitions in life. Along with this, I have interests in adolescent health; chronic preventive health; aging and geriatrics; as well as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) health and gender-affirming care. Outside of the clinic, I am an avid swimmer. I also love spending time in the outdoors, cooking and baking all sorts of new recipes, and sneaking in a book or crossword puzzle (or two) when I can.
