Eric Elowitz, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spinal surgery. In January 2010, Dr. Elowitz joined the nationally recognized Department of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. As a member of the Weill Cornell Spine Center, Dr. Elowitz continues to help advance the field of minimally invasive spinal surgery. He joined the Beth Israel Medical Center staff in 1993 and became Director of Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in 2004. In 2010, Dr. Elowitz joined the faculty in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Elowitz specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of degenerative spinal disease including herniated cervical and lumbar discs and spinal stenosis. He also has a clinical interest in surgery of spinal tumors.
