Kate Appleton, MD, is a fellowship-trained breast radiologist. She completed a seven-year combined BS/MD program at the University of Florida where she earned her medical degree with research honors. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency and breast imaging fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Practicing since 2006 as a board-certified radiologist, Dr. Appleton has special interests in breast cancer screening/diagnosis and image-guided interventional breast procedures/biopsies. She has published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles, a breast imaging book, and is a contributing author in "A Women's Decision," a guidebook for patients facing breast cancer.
