Laurie E Cohen, MD, is Chief, Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes and Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. An expert in growth disorders and short stature in children, Dr Cohen also specializes in endocrine issues experienced by childhood cancer survivors, such as growth hormone deficiency and decreased fertility. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, Dr Cohen attended Cornell University Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1998. She then pursued postgraduate training at Yale-New Haven Hospital with a residency in pediatrics from 1988 to 1991. In 1994, she completed her three-year fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
