She completed her undergraduate years at College of New Rochelle in New York, getting a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry. She attended Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with her doctorate receiving the highest honors in 2013. Her post-doctoral training includes an internship and residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a fellowship in the division of hematology and oncology.
