Laura Heffern, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care. Laura believes it’s a gift to help people realize their potential to live full, healthy lives. She was drawn to primary care because she likes being the first call, the cheerleader and coordinating care with specialists. She sees patients over the age of 1 for well and acute visits as well as the management of chronic illnesses like Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, migraines, anxiety and depression. Laura earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado Anschutz. She’s also received special training in Type 2 diabetes from the American Diabetes Association.
